Evolution
Evolution is the study of how species change over time. This topic can be as simple as a small shift in what is average for a species. for example humans have evolved to become taller as a species. What is considered average height today is taller than the average height 100 years ago. Or this concept can be expanded to explain the arrival of new species on this planet. As in Darwin's finches study. Isolated populations that mate and produce offspring will accumulate differences in their DNA due to natural occurring mutations. Once the DNA is different enough that they can no longer mate with members of other populations they have become a new species. We will be discussing both aspects of evolution as well as the conditions that influence evolution or equilibrium.
