EOC Review
Biology is a course that is required for graduation. This course has a state made final exam called an End of Course Test (EOC). The final grade for Biology is calculated using the student's grades from two quarters (37.5% of the grade each) and the state's final exam (25% of their grade). For this reason we will spend approximately one week reviewing over everything we have covered in class this semester. The students will make a folder detailing all of the important information similar to the folders you can buy in many book stores. By creating these folders students will review all of the important information they will need for the final exam. This folder will be their final project grade for this course. It is very important that students complete the folder assignment in order to fully prepare for the final exam. We will also be taking a released or older version of the final exam as a practice run. I will return the students papers so that they can look over the test and see if there is any section of material they should review more than others. For example, if they miss all of the questions about macromolecules but were successful in answer the questions about genetics then the student should focus on reviewing the information from unit 1.
