DNA Structure and Protein Synthesis
In this unit we will be learning about how the structure of DNA allows the molecule to perform the three functions that are required of genetic material. We started this discussion in the last unit by detailing how DNA is transferred from one generation to the next through the process of cell division. During this unit we will be discussing how the structure of DNA allows it to be copied easily making mitosis and meiosis possible. Then we will explain how the genetic code of DNA is read in order to create proteins.
